Locktown StoneHouse Music

Locktown StoneHouse Music kicks off this year with five “good-time music” concerts. Performances are held on the first Sunday of every month from May through September beginning at 4 pm. Doors open at 3 pm and will include light refreshments prior to the performance. Tickets for each concert are $15/pp online in advance and $20 at the door. Guests under 16 years old are free.

May 5th, 2024 – 4:00 p.m.

The Burnt Mills Highballers are an old time string band based out of Milford, NJ. The team met at the Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association Festival, coming together due to their spirit and gumption while playing tunes.

June 2nd, 2024 – 4:00 p.m.

In the true spirit of family traditions, the mantle of music has passed on through three generations of Fry boys. Patriarch Jimmy Fry Sr. – a principal in the popular band – Reel to Real, shared his love of music – and sometimes the mike – to his son Jim Fry Jr. Today, Jimmy Sr.’s grandsons, Nick and Matt Fry, are the latest torchbearers of the Fry boys’ musical legacy.

Tsu fil Duvids

July 7th, 2024 – 4:00 p.m.

Yiddish for “Too Many Daves”, Tsu fil Duvids is a klezmer ensemble based in central NJ with now nearly a dozen participating musicians, including clarinet, trumpet, violin, trombone, multiple keyboards, bass, percussion, and vocals. The ensemble rarely performs with all musicians.

Na’Bodach

August 4th, 2024 – 4:00 p.m.

Na’Bodach, broad Scots for “not old men!”, reimagines the traditional music of the British Isles and its crossover into the US in new and decidedly untraditional ways. The group uses both acoustic and electric instruments and draws on influences as diverse as Funk, Progressive Rock, Folk, Blues and Classical.

Jugtown Mountain String Band

September 8th, 2024 – 4:00 p.m.

The Jugtown Mountain String Band is rooted in the tradition of Old Time Appalachian songs and tunes. This four-piece band performs a variety of styles including Old Time mountain music, bluegrass, blues, and folk ballads.

Mimi Upmeyer Fall Concert Series

A long tradition at the Locktown Stone Church, the Mimi Upmeyer Fall Concert series returns for three Sundays in October. Concerts begin at 4 pm and will include light refreshments post-performance.

Sponsorships are available for the Locktown StoneHouse Music performances and/or the Mimi Upmeyer Fall Concert Series. We no longer receive grants, and sponsorship will help support the programs we offer. Minimum sponsorship of $250 will receive 2 complimentary tickets for 3 concerts of your choice. A sponsorship of $500 would receive 2 tickets for 5 concerts, and over $800 would receive 2 free tickets to all the concerts.
